IT’S ABOUT PEOPLE.

IT’S ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT PEOPLE.

Memory is a sacred thing, a direct line of connection to the moments that stand still in our minds—the monumental, the ordinary and everything-between. Rebecca Bengal, writer and photographer, expressed this when she said, “We know that a photograph lives in multiple eras at once: the time of its making, the time of its unveiling, the various eras of its subsequent rediscovery.”

Like finding an old family photo album, an archive of stories, threads of beauty and grief, memory is the narrative of our collective history.

It’s about more than just photography. These are moments in time, documented and rediscovered, each encounter offering profound and deeply personal meaning.

VALUE STATEMENT

My work is guided by a commitment to respect, dignity, and ethical storytelling. Every person I photograph is treated with compassion and represented as more than their circumstances. I prioritize informed consent, ensuring individuals understand how their image will be used and collaborating with them to create narratives that reflect their experiences authentically. I reject stereotypes, sensationalism, and any form of exploitation, striving instead to provide accurate, truthful context while respecting privacy and agency.

Cultural sensitivity is central to how I engage with the world—I strive to honor the values, traditions, and nuances of the communities I work within, approaching each project with humility and a willingness to listen and learn. I partner only with organizations that share these ethical values, ensuring the work we create together is responsibly representative. Images and personal information are handled with the utmost care, and sensitive content is shared only when it serves a clear purpose and aligns with the wishes of those involved.

Above all, I believe in the power of photography to connect. Through an empathy-led approach, I aim to share stories of humanity, the ones that bind us together and remind us that we are not so different in the end.
